For Nicole Doshi, the film journey is just beginning. And if her trajectory is any indication, she isn't interested in following the map—she’s rewriting it.
Casting directors are taking notice. While she has been typecast in the past based on her look and previous credits, Doshi is now auditioning for mainstream cable drama roles. "The audition room is different now," she says. "They aren't asking me if I can act anymore. They are asking me what my process is." Doshi shows no signs of slowing down. She is currently in pre-production for "Rogue Waves," a survival drama set in the Pacific Northwest, which she will produce and star in.
