Sheldon S02e07 720p: Young

For a moment, there is silence. Then Paige holds out her lollipop. “Truce?”

George Sr. wipes grease off his hands. He has no idea how to respond to this. He’s a football coach, not a physicist. But he sees the look on his son’s face—the same look he sees on his players after a crushing loss. young sheldon s02e07 720p

The next day at East Texas Tech, Sheldon arrives early. He has polished his cowboy boots. He has even allowed his mother to comb down his cowlick. He sits stiffly in Dr. Sturgis’s cluttered office, which smells of old coffee and chalk dust. When the door opens, in walks a small, freckled girl with a messy ponytail and a t-shirt featuring a cartoon cat. She is sucking on a lollipop. For a moment, there is silence

Sheldon considers this. Then he gets an idea. A terrible, wonderful, spectacularly petty idea. Meanwhile, in the B-plot, George Sr. and Mary are dealing with a crisis of their own: their teenage son, Georgie, has discovered girls. Specifically, he has discovered a girl named Veronica, a sweet, church-going sophomore with braces and a kind smile. Georgie wants to take her to the movies. Mary is thrilled—until Georgie asks for money to buy “snacks.” Mary gives him a suspicious look. “What kind of snacks?” wipes grease off his hands

But later, alone in his room, he takes out his notebook and writes at the top of a fresh page: “Strategies for Defeating Paige: Volume 1.” Then he pauses, crosses out “Defeating,” and writes “Collaborating With.” He stares at it for a long moment, then closes the notebook.

Sheldon stares at the sticky, half-sucked candy. “That’s unsanitary.”

Sheldon’s left eye twitches. He did not forget. He omitted it for brevity. But before he can retort, Dr. Sturgis claps his hands together. “Wonderful! You two are going to be a great team. Today, we’re working on a thought experiment involving a superluminal particle.”
