Vasamuseet [TOP]

The museum is laid out over several levels, giving you different perspectives of the ship – from eye level at the keel to looking down onto the decks. The exhibits are well-signed in both Swedish and English, and the audio guide (included with admission) adds fascinating context about the ship’s sinking, salvage, and preservation.

I spent nearly two hours here and easily could have stayed longer. Great for all ages – kids will love the scale, and history buffs will appreciate the detail. The gift shop is also excellent, with tasteful, educational souvenirs. vasamuseet
