“Heritage” is a slow burn that pays off. It trusts the audience to care about family therapy, high school anxiety, and a failing farm. If you want nonstop punching, skip it. But if you want a superhero show with genuine pathos and a 720p WEB-DL that looks surprisingly great on a laptop or tablet, this is a keeper.

First, a note on the file: the 720p WEB-DL is clean and stable. While not 1080p or 4K, the bitrate is solid. The Kansas cornfields have a warm, golden hue, and the digital effects (a particular metal-crushing scene) hold up without macroblocking. Dialogue is crisp in the center channel, and the score’s emotional swells don’t distort.

The title “Heritage” is perfect. It’s not just about Krypton; it’s about Smallville’s blue-collar legacy, the Kent farm, and the human (or half-human) choices that define a hero.

Picking up right after the explosive pilot, “Heritage” proves the premiere wasn’t a fluke. This episode shifts focus from world-ending threats to something far more relatable: a father trying to teach his sons how to be good people when one of them might be able to punch through a wall.

    • This could have to do with the pathing policy as well. The default SATP rule is likely going to be using MRU (most recently used) pathing policy for new devices, which only uses one of the available paths. Ideally they would be using Round Robin, which has an IOPs limit setting. That setting is 1000 by default I believe (would need to double check that), meaning that it sends 1000 IOPs down path 1, then 1000 IOPs down path 2, etc. That’s why the pathing policy could be at play.

To your question, having one path down is causing this logging to occur. Yes, it’s total possible if that path that went down is using MRU or RR with an IOPs limit of 1000, that when it goes down you’ll hit that 16 second HB timeout before nmp switches over to the next path.
