Here’s the smart part: Stellar lets you run a preview repair without activation. It shows you what it can recover. Only after you see the preview works, you enter the key to save the fixed file.
Okay, so I had a 4GB MP4 from my kid’s school play. Corrupted after a sudden power cut during transfer. Wouldn’t open in VLC, Premiere, nothing. I was desperate.
Their keys look like: ABCD1-EFGH2-IJKL3-MNOP4 If you miss a single hyphen, it fails. I was missing one. Felt stupid.
So I previewed the broken video – and it worked! That gave me confidence. Then I fixed the key issue (hyphens + no VPN), activated, and exported my file.
Turned off my VPN, restarted the app, activated instantly.
