"Three duels. Three verdicts written in blood and gunpowder. The town will call Moss a hero. They will call Vega a sister who failed. And Harding? They will build a statue for a man who died smiling because he took his wife's killer to hell with him." (Moss walks to Vega. He offers a hand.) "Three duels

"There is no court here. No judge. No jury. Only the sun bleeding out over the horizon. In the territory of Black Hollow, a murderer can walk free—if he can outdraw the man who swore to bring him in. But the bullet is not the only weapon. The past is the second gun. And it is always loaded." SHERIFF HARDING (stepping forward, voice like gravel): "You know the law of the duel. Three paces. One turn. No cover. No mercy. You kill me, you walk. I kill you... the crows eat well tonight." MURDERER LOCKE (smirking, eyes hollow): "And if we both draw and both fall?" SHERIFF HARDING: "Then Hell gets a two-for-one sale. Any last words before the bell?" MURDERER VEGA (young, trembling): "I didn't mean to kill him. It was an accident—" SHERIFF MOSS (spits tobacco): "Accidents don't stab a man seventeen times. Shut your mouth and grab your iron." (The clock tower chimes 6:00 PM. A single bell tolls.) SCENE II: THE FIRST DUEL – THE PREACHER’S GHOST PARTICIPANTS: Sheriff Moss (veteran, scarred) vs. Murderer Cain (former preacher who killed his congregation)

"I'll make you a deal. I won't draw. You can shoot me where I stand. But you'll never know if you won fair. And that will eat you slower than any cancer." SHERIFF HARDING: "I don't want fair. I want done." (They pace. Three steps. They turn. Harding draws first—but Locke is faster. The bullet tears through Harding’s chest. Harding does not fall. He fires twice. Three times. Four. Locke crumples.)

"Go ahead. Add my blood to your brother's. See if that brings him back." SHERIFF VEGA (screaming): "DRAW!" (Elias does not move. Vega fires. Elias falls. His last word is a whisper.)

Both draw. Sheriff Moss is faster—but his gun jams. Cain fires, grazing Moss’s shoulder. Moss does not flinch. He clears the jam with one hand, fires again. The bullet takes Cain in the chest. They will call Vega a sister who failed

(voice cracking): "Elias... you taught my brother how to whittle. How to ride. Then you buried him under the floorboards of your cabin." MURDERER ELIAS: "I told the judge. I told you . It wasn't me. It was my brother. You hanged the wrong man, Vega. And now you get to finish the job." (They pace. Three steps. Sheriff Vega’s hand hovers over her gun. Elias does not draw. He spreads his arms.)

"In Black Hollow, every bullet has a name. Every sheriff has a ghost. And every murderer? Every murderer was once someone’s last prayer. Duel at dusk. Draw if you dare. But know this: no one walks away clean." FADE TO BLACK.

(falling, laughing): "You... saved the flock... by becoming a wolf..." SHERIFF MOSS (standing over him, breathing hard): "No. I saved them by becoming the devil they understood." (Moss spits on the ground. He has won, but his hand shakes.) SCENE III: THE SECOND DUEL – THE INNOCENT’S CURSE PARTICIPANTS: Sheriff Vega (the murderer’s older sister) vs. Murderer Elias (convicted of killing a child, claims innocence)
