Once there, they discover a fantastical place where myths come alive: tiny elephants, giant lizards, and enormous bees. They find Alexander, who explains the island is actually Jules Verne’s “Mysterious Island” from The Mysterious Island (but also blending elements from Gulliver’s Travels and Treasure Island ). The group soon learns the island is sinking and must escape before it disappears forever.
