Her husband, (Adil Hussain), is a loving but casually condescending and workaholic businessman. He frequently mocks her lack of English proficiency, calling her "inept" and joking that she was born "before the British came to India." Her teenage daughter, Sapna (Navika Kotia), is embarrassed by her mother’s inability to speak fluent English, especially in front of her school friends. Only her young son, Sagar (Shivansh Kotia), loves her unconditionally.
