Big news for anyone who loves Minecraft but can’t install mods or the full Java edition: is now playable!

For those unfamiliar, Eaglercraft is a port of Minecraft that runs directly in a web browser using JavaScript/WebGL — no downloads, no plugins, just open a link and play. And now, it’s been updated to mimic the update features.

It’s still a fan-made re-creation, not an official Mojang product. You’ll notice some redstone differences and visual cutbacks for performance, but the core survival/creative experience is surprisingly solid — especially for running in Chrome or Edge.
