She clicked . Nothing. She clicked Load Driver , hoping some magical driver would appear. Nothing. She even closed the laptop, counted to ten, and reopened it. Still: 0.0 MB .
Her problem wasn’t a virus, a dead drive, or cosmic bad luck. Her problem was drive 0 unallocated space 0.0 mb
“That can’t be right,” she whispered.
Then she hit the partition screen.
Below that, there was nothing else. No “Drive 0 Partition 1: Windows.” No “System Reserved.” Just a stark, gray bar and a number that felt like a typo from the universe: zero point zero.
