Here’s a short story-style take on the gameplay of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z : The sky above the ruined wasteland crackled with golden energy. Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and Piccolo stood back-to-back, their eyes fixed on the massive figure of Great Ape Vegeta, who towered above them like a living storm.
That was when Vegeta (the smaller, angrier one) grinned. "Out of the way, Kakarot. This calls for teamwork."
They boosted toward the horizon, leaving only craters and fading ki blasts behind.
"Tch. He's tough," Goku muttered.
Here, Battle of Z broke from tradition. Instead of 1v1 duels, battles were 4v4 or raid-style fights. Each fighter had a class—Goku was an "Interceptor," great for rushing enemies. Piccolo was a "Supporter," able to heal and revive. Gohan was a "Fighter," balanced and reliable. And Vegeta? He was a "Ki Blaster," specializing in long-range bombardment.
Goku and Gohan launched themselves at the ape’s arms, holding them down with grapple attacks. Piccolo stayed back, tossing Senzu Beans to restore energy. The screen flashed red as Great Ape Vegeta prepared a mouth blast—but Goku interrupted with a well-timed Solar Flare, buying three seconds of blindness.
"Now!"
Goku just laughed. "Let’s go for the S-rank!"
