Celda 211 (known in English as Cell 211 ) is a Spanish-language prison drama produced for the streaming platform Max (formerly HBO Max). It is a television adaptation of the acclaimed 2009 Spanish film Celda 211 , which was based on the novel by Francisco Pérez Gandul. The series, released in 2022 (first season) and concluding in 2023, expands the original story into a multi-episode arc, exploring deeper character development and new plotlines.
