Angel Densetsu Tập 3 May 2026

Yet the comedy remains. A running gag involves Kitano rescuing a lost kitten. The kitten, of course, hisses and scratches him. He names it “Angel.” The visual of a nine-foot-tall, gargoyle-faced boy cradling a tiny white kitten while covered in bandages is the volume’s funniest panel. Angel Densetsu is often remembered as a cult classic — a 15-volume series that ended in 2000. But Tập 3 is where it transcends “delinquent comedy.” It asks a surprisingly adult question: What if your greatest weakness (how you look) became your greatest strength (how you act)?

When Kitano finally arrives, he sees Ikuno holding Hirata by the collar. Kitano’s inner monologue reads: “My friend is in pain. I don’t understand why, but my chest feels hot.” Yet the comedy remains

In a masterful sequence, Ikuno beats down several of Kitano’s “subordinates” (who, remember, are themselves violent delinquents). The hospital scenes are where author Yoshiaki Sadamoto (no relation to the Evangelion designer; this is a common name mix-up — the author is actually ) shows his range. We see the thugs, bruised and bloody, refusing to name their attacker. Not out of honor, but out of shame — and a strange, unspoken loyalty to Kitano. He names it “Angel

What follows is not a fight. It is an execution. Kitano, who has never thrown a punch in anger, instinctively moves. One blow — not even a full swing — sends Ikuno flying into a chain-link fence. The art shifts from slapstick to raw, kinetic horror. For one page, Kitano’s face is not funny. It is terrifying.

The Quiet Horror of Kindness Manga has no shortage of delinquent anti-heroes. From Kuwabara to Onizuka , the genre thrives on the tension between a rough exterior and a golden heart. But no one has ever weaponized politeness quite like Seiichiro Kitano.

The caption reads: “The demon of Hei High has no idea he just saved the school.”
